We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours, and found it to be easy to drive, and comfortable to drive for long distances. The EV9 can block wind and road noise while driving on the highway. It rides smoothly over ruts and humps. The acceleration is extremely quick and the vehicle has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow “one pedal driving” by taking off the accelerator. The EV9 offers a great range and can be charged in just three hours or less at home, or using any commercial charger. The driver can select from two operating modes – eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode prioritizes the torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both modes are fun to drive, and offer an experience unlike any other for those who've never been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.
